There are various kinds of support we can offer our teams if we are to expect great results:
- Encouragement: the much needed push to get through fear or break through self-imposed boundaries
- Challenge: the kick in the pants needed to stay focused, think bigger, move quicker or be more thorough
- Accountability: the watchful eye that helps maintain discipline, focus and keeps projects moving forward
- Resources: the money, time, space, people, etc. to make things happen
The truth is everyone needs all four at some point.
A leader makes sure her team receives the right support at the right time.
